Homeward Bound Joins May 2 event
to offer "one-stop shop" for services

Homeward Bound of Marin will join a dozen local organizations on May 2 in Novato to offer a "one-stop shop" for services to homeless families and adults.

Called Project Homeless Connect, the event will be at Our Lady of Loretto Parish Hall, 1811 Virginia Ave., from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A comprehensive report by the Bay Area Foundation Advisory Group to End Homelessness, published in October 2007, cited Homeward Bound's school support program as an example of services that work.

All children studying at the "one-room school," operated at our Family Emergency Center with help from Marin Community Foundation, Marin School-Linked Services and the San Rafael School District, have advanced to the next grade for three straight years. Read more.

Grants $1 Million for The Next Key Center

Our housing and job-training expansion in Novato has received $1 million from the Affordable Housing Program of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. Sponsored by Circle Bank, our application was one of 52 regional programs to receive support.
