At Voyager Carmel Center and Palm Court, adults with mental health issues receive short- and long-term assisted housing and support. Community partner organizations provide ongoing supportive services and funding for special activities.

Originally established by the County of Marin, Voyager Carmel Center became part of Homeward Bound in 1987. Adults with persistent mental illness participate in programs focused on enhancing individual strengths through symptom management, crisis prevention, basic living skills improvement, community building, and job readiness and retention.

Voyager Carmel Center maintains a 35-bed capacity, with 10 beds for residents staying an average of one to four months. The remaining 25 beds are for long-term residents.

Palm Court provides long-term housing for single adults living with persistent mental illness. It offers residents of Voyager Carmel Center a "next step" to independent living.

Long-term housing for 17 adults is provided at various locations in Marin County. Support services include job skills training and placement services.
